We gave five stars for easy to install simply because if you know what you were doing have a level a pencil a drill and a Phillips head screwdriver these go in very quickly and easily. For us lining three up in a row required using the level and measuring tape. On another door with simply centered it on the door and it was fine. My husband said we didn’t need to do a drill for the preparatory hall and could’ve used an hour or other pointy object. I disagree. Happily the screws are not too long. That made them perfect for us for use on doors but I do think that you would be better served to have as much grip as you can when you put them in. We hung these on solid core doors. They are rated up to 35 to 50 pounds and it makes perfect sense to us that they would hold that easily. We’ve only had them for a few weeks so I am hopeful that the black color will stay true. We were trying to match hardware on our colonial style doors and really wouldn’t even the black color. I think the hooks will remain true but the screws look like they might not be as good quality and we are thinking about putting a little bit of filler on the top of the screwheads since you can easily see that they are very modern Phillips head screws. We still have five of these left after our project so it was a great value for the money and we are thinking of using them to make a small coat rack. Of course, you could also use them for something that is far less weight since they are very small and unobtrusive.
