I had cataract surgery 2 days ago. I regained my distance vision, but lost my previously perfect close vision. Try putting three kinds of drops on your eye four times a day, when you can’t see!This $10.49 gift from heaven was delivered in one day, and has made my new routine infinitely easier and removed all the frustration.It was packed beautifully, with each piece in bubble wrap, inside a sturdy little boxIt is well constructed, with a heavy lucite base and frame, and chrome connectors.It took maybe 90 seconds to assemble. The post attaches to the base with a screw. Someone complained that the screw made the mirror unstable, but they did not read the directions or look at the base. One side of the base has a recessed opening in the center, in which the screw is countersunk. I didn’t even need a screwdriver. I just held the screw head in place with a finger, while screwing it into the connecting rod. Easy peasy. Then I screwed on the mirror in its frame.It is rock solid, doesn’t tip over, and is a perfect size for holding above my face while I tip my head back to add the eyedrops.Someone else complained that it is blurry. They obviously don’t understand how a strong magnifying mirror works. It has to be maybe 4 inches from your face. Any further away and you get distortion, because the magnification is 20x. Mirrors with lower magnification (like my 5x makeup mirror) do not distort at greater distances.So this 7″ mirror is perfect for my needs, and is the bargain of the century for $10.49. It also came with a little tweezer/forceps as an extra bonus!It is essential for anyone who needs to use eyedrops, and would also be great for finding an eyelash or slipped contact lens.
