NRI are helping raise money for Ben Talbot’s life changing surgery in the USA

Here is his story. . . . . . . . . .

Despite many years of tests and appointments with some of the UKs top specialists, no one can decide upon a diagnosis for Ben’s problems.

He has a brain injury which has resulted in severe development delays. This means that he is unable to stand or walk, has poor communication skills and he relies on adults for all his care needs.

As a result of not being independently mobile, his legs are suffering with serious muscle contractures which could also lead to hip problems in the future. This has reduced his abilities even more.

This can now only be reduced by surgery.
There are some surgeons in the US that are using ‘key-hole’ surgery on disabled kids like Ben. This means that instead of 6-8 weeks in plaster following conventional surgery, kids only have small scars and can recover within days instead of weeks.

The surgery is called PERCS and he will be going to St Louis Children’s Hospital in Missouri USA.

So please help us give Ben this great chance to improve his life, any donations small or large would be greatly appreciated and can be done via www.justgiving.com/helpbenappeal or by text – send hben99 £(your amount) to 70070
